Part of the amazing Stacy London’s job is to be the cheerleader for all things fashion. One of the things we love about Stacy is her ability to be brutally honest when it comes to “what not to wear,” but to also be a complete sweetheart at the same time. She is an expert when it comes to using beautiful things to make beautiful people, and her Pinterest boards are no exception. With 38 boards and more than 8,700 pins you know that there will be no shortage of inspiration found on Stacy’s profile. Her boards are a treasure chest of all things pretty and practical, from her icons, to nail art, to accessories, interiors, color, shoes, bags and the latest trends. It’s nice to know that wherever you go, you can have a little dose of covetable Stacy advise in your pocket.

Getting creative has gotten a whole lot easier with Pinterest, especially when it comes to nail art! Instead of spending your cash at a nail salon, spend the extra time on your nails to create some unique designs. We’ve pretty much all seen the dip your nails in different colored water technique but how about using plastic wrap to create that fab denim/marble look?
Here’s What You Do:
1) Paint your nails with your favorite base color and let it dry.
2) Tear a piece of plastic wrap into 10 small pieces and bunch into little balls.
3) Paint your nails with a second color – BUT before letting it dry- dab your nails with the plastic wrap to pick up some of the first color.
4) Tah-Dah!! You get Denim/Marble looking nails. Be sure to paint on a top coat to keep from chipping.

Is it just us, or do these nails look like our ‘Almas’ Marbled skinny jeans?? Pre-order these jeans on Nordstrom to match your fab new denim nails!

It’s might seem a bit odd that we are talking about Spring and Summer already, but in the fashion world, you always have to be thinking ahead of the trends! We wanted to share with you a sneak peek of “What’s in Store” this Spring/Summer 2013, and the below color story serves as a big part of the collection’s inspiration. You’ll find a lot of pinks in the collection, and this color story specifically serves as the inspiration for the paleness you’ll find in our Angelina Skinny in Ballet. We can’t wait to show you even more of the collection. Take a peek at some new washes on our Pinterest and we’ll slowly start adding color stories to our inspiration board too – keep your eye out!

Last year, when we first introduced the color vermilion to our collections, we explained its origin and our fascination with its ancient history. And this year, vermilion made its way once again into our collection on our Amalia Skinny jean. Although we adore the color by itself, we brought back the wash on our Amalia Skinny as it played a part in this color story below. We pulled the vermilion color from the glowing poppy’s, and we created our Amalia Skinny in Licorice from the darker shades in this landscape. Many times we look at washes alone, but it’s always fun to see how they play a part in the collection’s color palette!

Remember when we told you that mint was on trend earlier this year? Well, it’s not leaving anytime soon! We love the color so much that we decided to pull our favorite mint shades to create our own wash for our Resort 2012 collection, our Angelina Cigarette Skinny jean in Fresh Moss. It’s a wash that adds a little bit of color, but neutral enough that it can be worn like a gray wash. Below are some of our favorite inspiration photos and you can find more on our Pinterest page!

One of our favorite Fall washes this year is the Almas Zip Skinny in Claret because of its rich hue. The wash’s color tone derives from the color story boards made by our head designer Jennifer Wojinski. Jennifer explained to us that she collects photos into an inspiration file for each season, and then pulls the colors she finds from each photo. “It’s actually quite fun to see what colors I can pull out of a photo,” Jennifer says, “All of the stories eventually get integrated into one final palette. But the photos that you see here are the lens through which I choose the color story to create the overall mood for each season.”

We stumbled across Cathie Hong’s etsy shop Ampersandity, and fell in love with her calligraphy. Her hand-lettering is crafty, elegant and classic. We think her calligraphy adds that special touch to any thank you card, thinking of you note, holiday card and really anything she writes on for that matter. Her blog and Pinterest (recently named one of the most powerful pinners in the world!) has some of the most beautiful photos to look at too. I guess you can say we are definitely digging Cathie’s style!

Now that it is officially fall, many of us will be pulling out our good ole’ cords! Over the years, corduroys have come and gone and come back again as fashion favorites. This fall, they are definitely on trend. We created our Angelina Cigarette Corduroy in Passion Flower with the perfect amount of stretch to fit perfectly on any shape or size. Our design team chose to create the cords in a deep purple adding a warmth and a richness that will pop against the corduroy’s texture. Not only is deep purple a great alternative to the usual neutral colors, it also adds a little edge. Here are a few images that inspired the beautiful color, and don’t forget to take a look at our color inspiration board on Pinterest here. Happy Fall!

Blue is almost synonymous with denim. And for our Alice Skinny in Nostalgia, we wanted to do something different with the color. It’s not your typical blue jean denim – it’s a blue grey that reminds us of a vintage blue that is a little ‘greyed out,’ and more muted unlike the many bright modern representations of the color. Designer Jennifer Wojinski said the blue we used for Nostalgia “gave her a calming feeling, unlike how most people associate it with ‘having the blues,’ and reminded her of happy times in the past; therefore the name ‘Nostalgia’.”
Like all of our washes and styles, our Alice Skinny in Nostalgia is inspired by a mood board and below are a few images that are included on the board. Take a look at our Pinterest Color Inspiration: Blue board for more of an inside look and when you put on your Alice Skinny’s in Nostalgia, remember all the happy times.
